Job summary

OGP, the ActiveSG team in Singapore, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to build and maintain the ActiveSG platform, enabling real-time bookings, payments, and user experiences for sports facilities across Singapore.

You will design scalable APIs, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ship high-traffic applications with a focus on performance, reliability, and user-centric experiences in a fast-paced, autonomy-driven environment.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and backend development (Next.js/Node.js).
• Experience designing REST APIs and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
• Excellent communication and ability to translate requirements into software.
• Strong product thinking and user empathy, including non-technical users.
• Bonus: familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git workflows, and IaC.
• Bonus: startup or fast-paced environment experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable software across the stack from frontend to backend.
• Write maintainable, performant code and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with PMs, designers, and stakeholders to scope features and ship solutions.
• Document engineering RFCs and specifications to improve knowledge sharing.
• Set up monitoring, alerting, and tests to ensure production readiness.
• Own projects end-to-end from discovery to deployment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across the organization.
