Job summary

Apar Technologies Pte. Ltd. in Singapore is seeking an accomplished software engineer to deliver fully tested code and collaborate with architects and business analysts. You will design solutions, mentor juniors, and contribute to agile projects with a strong emphasis on quality and performance.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in software development and testing, hands-on Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Spark, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD tooling, with full-stack awareness.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in software development and testing.
• Solid understanding in Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Unix shell scripting, and MS SQL.
• Experience in Apache Spark, Kubernetes and Docker.
• Knowledge on both frontend and backend development.
• Solution design using proven patterns, awareness of anti-patterns, performance tuning.
• In-depth knowledge on Relational databases – MS SQL Server, SQL profiler, query analyzer.
• Knowledge of scheduling tools (Airflow, Control-M).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab/ ArgoCD or similar).
• Good understanding & working knowledge of Agile/Scrum.

Responsibilities

• Deliver fully tested source code complying with quality indicators objectives.
• Address technical aspects with Architect and functional aspects with business analysts.
• Liaise with business analysts for clarification and understanding of requirements.
• Solution design using proven patterns, awareness of anti-patterns, performance tuning.

• Organize and take ownership of detailed technical documentation.
• Provide detailed estimation for development of solution.
• Develop test strategy in coordination with project manager / business analysts.
• Perform design and code review for other team members.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Be proactive and ensure a continuous improvement mindset for the team.
• Work in a fast-paced Agile work environment.
• Report code quality indicators to Project manager / Team head periodically.
• Adhoc duties as assigned.
