Job summary

APAR TECHNOLOGIES PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a Java Software Engineer to deliver fully tested code, design solutions, and mentor teammates in a fast-paced Agile setting.

The role requires 8+ years of software development and testing experience, strong Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Docker/Kubernetes, Spark, and SQL skills, with frontend/backend knowledge and CI/CD familiarity.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in software development and testing.
• Solid understanding in Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Unix shell scripting, and MS SQL.
• Experience in Apache Spark, Kubernetes and Docker.
• Knowledge on both frontend and backend development.
• In-depth knowledge on Relational databases– MS SQL Server, SQL profiler, query analyzer.
• Knowledge of scheduling tools (Airflow, Control-M).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab/ ArgoCD or similar).
• Good understanding & working knowledge of Agile/Scrum EA Number: 11C4879

Responsibilities

• Deliver fully tested source code complying with quality indicators objectives
• Address technical aspects with Architect and functional aspects with business analysts
• Liaise with business analysts for clarification and understanding of requirements
• Solution design using proven patterns, awareness of anti-patterns, performance tuning
• Analyze technical constraints considering functional impact
• Organize and take ownership of detailed technical documentation
• Provide detailed estimation for development of solution
• Develop test strategy in coordination with project manager / business analysts
• Perform design and code review for other team members
• Mentor junior team members
• Be proactive and ensure a continuous improvement mindset for the team
• Work in a fast-paced Agile work environment
• Report code quality indicators to Project manager / Team head periodically
• Adhoc duties as assigned
