Job summary

Ambiq in Singapore is seeking a senior SoC architecture expert to guide the peripheral subsystems for power-efficient wearables and IoT devices. You will own architecture definitions, off-die interfaces, and post-silicon validation, collaborating with RTL, physical design, FPGA, software, and marketing teams.

You will ensure low-power designs, define modes for USB/I2C/SPI, and drive architectural alignment across distributed teams. BS in EE/CE/CS; 8+ years in SoC/ASIC; MS/PhD preferred.

Qualifications

• Authorship of architectural specifications for SoCs, ASICs, or silicon IP.
• 8+ years in SoC or ASIC architecture and design, or silicon IP development.
• Experience architecting external interfaces: audio (I2S, PDM), imaging/display (MIPI CSI/DSI), and high/low-speed links (USB, SPI, I2C).
• Knowledge of board-level electrical constraints, cable/connector requirements, PHY, and OS driver model.
• Proven track record of low-power silicon architectures to market.
• Ability to reason across hardware/software boundary and trade-offs.
• BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture specifications for peripheral subsystems and power/performance models.
• Define off-die interfaces, including boards, cables, connectors, PHY and driver model.
• Debug at RTL and gate level with the design team.
• Collaborate with physical design for robust implementation.
• Perform power and performance trade-off analyses across system dataflows.
• Conduct IP investigation, assessment, and selection with supporting analysis.
• Create integration specifications for system interfaces and power management.
• Support post-silicon validation and delivery to mass production.
• Define use case and test case definitions for validation.
