Job summary

Ambiq seeks a senior architectural engineer for its Singapore development office. You will guide the SoC peripheral subsystems—audio, imaging and display, and high-/low-speed interfaces—defined for battery-powered wearables and IoT devices.

You will own cross-site architecture across RTL, physical design, and software teams. Your work includes architecture specs, off-die interfaces, RTL debugging, and post-silicon validation, emphasizing power, performance, and low-power design in silicon

Qualifications

• Authorship of architectural specifications for SoCs, ASICs, or silicon IP.
• 8+ years in SoC or ASIC architecture and design for wearable/IoT/mobile products.
• Experience architecting SoC connections to audio, imaging/display, and high/low-speed links.
• Knowledge of board-level electrical constraints, cable requirements, PHY integration, and driver models.
• Proven track record in bringing low-power silicon architectures to market.
• Ability to drive architectural alignment across distributed teams.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture specs for SoC peripheral subsystems and off-die interfaces.
• Debug at RTL and gate level with design teams when specifications raise questions.
• Collaborate with physical design to ensure robust, optimal implementation.
• Perform power and performance trade-off analysis across system dataflows.
• Lead IP investigation, assessment, and vendor/license decisions.
• Create integration specifications covering system interfaces and power management.
• Support post-silicon validation and handoff to mass production.
• Develop use cases and test cases to support validation.
