Job summary

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily facade installation works for aluminium, curtain wall, cladding, and glazing systems.
• Coordinate subcontractor manpower, material handling, and onsite logistics.
• Perform initial QA/QC checks against shop drawings and manufacturer guidelines.
• Enforce safety regulations and conduct toolbox talks / RA & SWP compliance.
• Maintain daily site logs and assist progress reporting to PM/APM.

Job description

To assist and support the Project Manager (PM) / Assistant Project Manager (APM) and Construction Manager in supervising day-to-day site execution, managing site labor and subcontractors, maintaining strict quality control, and ensuring complete safety compliance on-site.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Execution & Daily Operations
   • Directly oversee and supervise daily site installation works for aluminium, curtain wall, cladding, and glazing systems.
   • Execute daily work plans provided by the PM/APM to ensure site activities align with the project schedule.
   • Coordinate daily site logistics, including material staging, hoists, tower cranes, cradles, and equipment allocation with the main contractor.
   • Conduct daily morning exercise, toolbox meetings, and ensure daily site housekeeping is enforced.
2. Subcontractor & Labor Management
   • Manage and monitor subcontractor manpower distribution, daily output, and work performance.
   • Oversee material protection, proper storage, site transfer, and minimize site wastage.
   • Guide, train, and solve daily technical or operational issues for site workers and junior supervisors.
3. Quality Assurance & Inspection (QA/QC)
   • Perform initial site inspections on installed facade elements before calling for official QA/QC or consultant inspections.
   • Ensure all installations comply with approved shop drawings, mock-up samples, and manufacturer installation guidelines.
   • Promptly identify defects or workmanship issues and manage the subcontractor to complete rectifications quickly.
4. Safety & Housekeeping Compliance
   • Enforce strict compliance with safety regulations, Risk Assessments (RA), and Safe Work Procedures (SWP) on-site.
   • Monitor work-at-height activities, harness usage, scaffold stability, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs).
   • Report any near-misses, unsafe conditions, or site hazards immediately to the PM/APM and Safety Officer.
5. Site Documentation & Progress Reporting
   • Maintain daily site logs, tracking manpower count, weather conditions, work progress, and site delay causes.
   • Assist in taking site photos and preparing inputs for daily/weekly progress reports for the PM/APM.

Job Requirements

Education: Diploma / Certificate in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering, Building, or equivalent.

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on site supervision experience in facade, curtain wall, structural glazing, or aluminium architectural projects.

Technical Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret facade shop drawings, architectural drawings, and structural details.
• Practical knowledge of facade installation techniques, sealants, brackets, anchor bolts, and glass handling.

Soft Skills: Strong site leadership, firm subcontractor management, and clear communication skills.
