Job summary

Ley Choon Constructions and Engineering Pte Ltd is seeking a Senior Operations Supervisor to lead and manage on-site operations for multiple projects across Singapore. You will oversee surveys, pipe laying, urgent repairs, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires coordinating with project teams, managing schedules and resources, and driving efficiency while maintaining a zero-harm safety culture. 6-day work week with site-based responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Civil/Mechanical/Construction or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in site operations or related field.
• Strong knowledge of site work processes including pipe laying and urgent repair operations.
• Good understanding of safety regulations and ability to enforce safety compliance on site.
• Ability to conduct site surveys and manage scheduling with project teams.
• Strong problem-solving skills and capability to analyze operational efficiency and cost-saving opportunities.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to handle public relations and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Proactive in identifying skills gaps and supporting team training and development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage multi-team site operations including water service works and pipe laying across Singapore.
• Ensure compliance with approved method statements, project specifications, and statutory standards.
• Serve as the primary on-site contact for public relations and manage notices and complaints.
• Coordinate with Project Team to optimize scheduling, equipment, and manpower deployment.
• Monitor budgets and implement cost-control measures to improve profitability.
• Oversee site progress documentation, client correspondence, inventory tracking, and reports.
• Track and report key operational metrics to upper management.
• Mentor and develop team members for supervisory roles.
• Champion safe work practices and enforce EHS policies across all sites.
• Attend daily toolbox meetings at 7:00 AM and travel between project sites.
• Support night shift operations and ad-hoc site requirements as schedules demand.
