Job summary

Sciente Pte. in Singapore seeks a Senior / IT Engineer to design, maintain, and improve Shop Floor Automation (SFA) applications in a high-technology manufacturing setting.

The role provides 24/7 Level 1 and 2 production support and assists in developing Equipment Manager automation solutions. You will gather requirements, deploy new versions, document changes, and train users across production lines while collaborating with IT teams to boost system availability, response time, and overall

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience in Shop Floor Automation (SFA) applications and production system support.
• Experience in application maintenance, troubleshooting, enhancement, and deployment.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to support 24/7 Level 1 & 2 production operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and continuously improve assigned Shop Floor Automation (SFA) applications and components.
• Provide 24/7 Level 1 & 2 support to ensure the proper operation and availability of production lines.
• Troubleshoot system issues and work with other IT teams to improve system response time and availability.
• Gather requirements and design, develop, and deploy new versions and enhancements of SFA applications, particularly Equipment Manager automation solutions.
• Document requirements and coordinate application enhancements within the assigned area.
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct training for assigned applications.
• Collaborate with other sections and departments on productivity enhancement, error and cost reduction, and other improvement initiatives.
