Job summary

SCIENTE INTERNATIONAL PTE. LTD. is seeking a Senior / IT Engineer to support Shop Floor Automation (SFA) applications in a high-technology manufacturing environment.

The role provides 24/7 Level 1 & 2 support for production lines and supports the development and deployment of Equipment Manager automation solutions. The candidate should have a degree or diploma in CS/Engineering, hands-on SFA experience, and strong SQL/Oracle skills, plus the ability to work independently and within a team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in CS/Engineering with relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience in Shop Floor Automation (SFA) applications and production system support.
• Experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, enhancement, and deployment of applications.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to support 24/7 Level 1 & 2 production operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and continuously improve assigned SFA applications and components.
• Provide 24/7 Level 1 & 2 support to ensure proper operation and availability of production lines.
• Troubleshoot system issues and work with IT teams to improve response time and availability.
• Gather requirements and design, develop, and deploy new versions/enhancements of SFA apps, especially Equipment Manager solutions.
• Document requirements and coordinate application enhancements within the area.
• Plan, coordinate, and conduct training for assigned applications.

We are looking for a Senior / IT Engineer to support the design, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Shop Floor Automation (SFA) applications in a high-technology manufacturing environment. The role will provide 24/7 Level 1 & 2 support for production lines and support the development and deployment of Equipment Manager automation solutions.

Mandatory Skill-set

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent with relevant experience;
• Mush have hands-on experience in Shop Floor Automation (SFA) applications and production system support;
• Experience in application maintenance, troubleshooting, enhancement, and deployment;
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Oracle databases;
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Willingness to support 24/7 Level 1 & 2 production operations.

Desired Skill-set

• Experience with MES, TIB/RV, SECS, or Tibco;
• Experience in ZNT PAC development;
• Exposure to fab automation projects and CIM products such as SPC, RMS, and MES;
• Experience in a high-technology manufacturing environment.
