Job summary

Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd seeks a Senior Project Engineer - Ship Repair (Tuas) to plan and supervise maintenance works, manage MRO expenditures, and lead a team of technicians and contractors. You will be the main contact for ship owners and internal departments, ensuring safe, timely delivery.

The role requires a Diploma/Degree in Marine/Mechanical/Naval Architecture/Electrical, completed Ship Repair Manager Course, and at least 3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Degree in Marine/Mechanical/Naval Architecture/Electrical.
  • Completed Ship Repair Manager Course.
  • 3 years of experience in newbuild or ship repairs related projects.
  • Strong planning, scheduling and costing abilities; risk management and manpower management.
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels and manage customers.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, monitor, and track all maintenance works to uphold ship’s readiness.
  • Plan, manage and track ship’s MRO expenditures, spares and materials utilization.
  • Manage direct customers (ship, SREC, SSEC) as main contact.
  • Lead a team of technicians, engineers and contractors to ensure safe, on-time completion.
  • Coordinate with yard on scope of work and perform vessel safety coordination.
