Job summary

Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd. is seeking a Project Manager for Ship Repairs & Conversions (Gul). You will direct repair, construction and conversion projects, lead VSCC meetings, and ensure schedules and safety on board.

The role requires coordinating with class societies, owners, and engineers to meet contractual commitments and achieve customer satisfaction. Ideal candidates have a Naval Architecture/Marine/Mechanical Engineering background with 5–7 years in ship repair project

Qualifications

Degree or Diploma in Naval Architecture, Marine or Mechanical Engineering.
5–7 years of project management experience in ship repairs or related heavy industries.
Possess a valid SRM Certificate.
Experience chairing VSCC meetings.
Ability to lead ship repair, construction and conversion projects independently.
Willingness to work late and on weekends.
Proficient in MS Office; report writing and scheduling with MS Projects or Primavera.

Responsibilities

Manage and direct ship repair, construction and conversion projects.
Lead daily VSCC meetings, manage hot-work and safety on board.
Meet repair and refit schedules by planning and monitoring critical paths.
Monitor man hours and control project costs to safeguard GP margins.
Liaise with class societies, ship owners, engineers, crew and agents to ensure success.
Capture additional works and support commercial pricing.
