Dorsett Changi City Singapore is seeking a Senior Security Officer to safeguard hotel premises, guests, and staff. You will oversee daily security operations, conduct patrols, respond to incidents, and ensure compliance with all security protocols.
You will coordinate the security team, monitor CCTV and access control systems, brief junior officers, liaise with local police and emergency services, and maintain detailed incident reports. A valid security license and strong integrity are essential.
As a Senior Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our hotel premises, assets, guests, and colleagues. You will be responsible for overseeing daily security operations, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with all security protocols and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the daily activities of the security team.
Conduct regular patrols of the hotel premises, including guest areas, back-of-house, and perimeters, to identify and mitigate potential security risks.
Respond effectively and efficiently to all security-related incidents, emergencies, and alarms, including but not limited to medical emergencies, fire alarms, disturbances, and theft.
Investigate security breaches, incidents, and suspicious activities, preparing detailed and accurate reports.
Operate and monitor CCTV systems, access control systems, and other security equipment.
Enforce hotel policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of guests, staff, and property.
Conduct security briefings and training for junior security officers and other hotel staff as required.
Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
Maintain accurate records of all security-related activities and incidents.
Provide a visible security presence and offer assistance to guests and colleagues as needed.
Assist in developing and implementing new security procedures and protocols.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in security operations, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry.
Proven knowledge of security procedures, emergency response, and risk management.
Valid security license/certification as required by local regulations.
First Aid and Respond to Fire Emergency in Workplace is a plus.
Proficiency in operating CCTV and other security surveillance systems.
Strong understanding of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to security and safety.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure and during emergencies.
Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
