Job summary

Hitachi Energy Service is seeking a Technical Specialist for Secondary Protection & Control. You will provide engineering support for protection, control, SCADA, RTU, and substation automation, collaborating with customers and internal teams across projects from design to commissioning and lifecycle support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in Secondary Protection & Control, Substation Automation, SCADA or power system engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Protection Relays, SCADA, RTU, Substation Automation.
• Familiarity with IEC 61850, IEC 60870-5-101/104, Modbus, DNP3, PRP/HSR/RSTP, GOOSE.
• Experience in design, studies, FAT/SAT, commissioning, troubleshooting and lifecycle support.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering expertise for Secondary Protection & Control systems across service, retrofit, upgrade, and EMU projects.
• Support protection-related enquiries, technical studies, tendering, bidding, and proposals.
• Collaborate with customers, vendors, and teams to develop compliant, value-driven solutions.
• Design and develop protection, SCADA, RTU, and Substation Automation solutions per customer specs.
• Identify opportunities for digitalization and service enhancement.
• Support integration of third-party devices into Digital Aggregators and Substation Automation Systems.
