Job summary

SP Group is seeking a senior Electrical Engineer specializing in protection and control for HVDC interconnections to establish best-practice protection schemes and lead design reviews. You will design systems, verify contractor submissions, oversee SATs, and mentor engineers while ensuring grid compliance and integration with substations and transmission networks.

Strong background, PSCAD/DIgSILENT/PowerFactory/PSSE proficiency, and 8+ years in utilities required; Singapore based with

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience.
Strong understanding of protection systems for transmission and distribution networks.
Experience with testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of protection systems.
Familiarity with PSCAD, DIgSILENT, PowerFactory and PSSE.

Responsibilities

Establish best practice protection and control systems for HVDC interconnections.
Design systems in compliance with regulations and grid codes.
Review contractor submissions including protection philosophies and detailed schematics.
Lead factory audits, SATs and protection/controls testing and commissioning.
Oversee verification of interconnection integration with substations and networks.
