Senior SDET Lead — Automation Strategy & AI Testing

Job summary

Luxoft is seeking a senior QA Automation Lead in Singapore to drive automation strategy and execution for a financial markets testing program. You will lead cross-functional teams and own end-to-end test design, data creation, and automation cycles using Selenium, Cucumber, and Java.

The role requires deep experience in API testing, SQL, and DevOps pipelines, with advantage for AI-assisted prompt engineering and modern CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software test design and testing methodologies.
• Leading automation projects and working independently.
• Experience leveraging AI tools (Copilot) for prompt engineering, framework integration and debugging.
• Solid knowledge of core JAVA, API testing, SQL and shell scripting.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools: Selenium, Cucumber, XML, Cypress, GIT/ADO repos, ADO/Confluence, ADO Boards/Test Plan.
• Exposure to Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of database testing concepts.
• Familiar with DevOps CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Groovy, YAML, ADO Pipeline).
• Strong understanding of Java/JEE stack applications.
• Integration tech expertise - API, FTP, Webservices & Solace Messaging.

Responsibilities

• Interact with product, project and development teams to understand testing objectives.
• Coordinate between onshore and offshore teams.
• Troubleshoot issues to identify root cause and resolve.
• Design test conditions, data and scripts for business and technical use cases.
• Use tools to execute tests and build scripts for validation.
• Lead automation strategy and create scripts for automated testing cycles with Selenium and Cucumber.
