Job summary

a-star testing & inspection (s) pte. ltd. is seeking a highly skilled Scheduler to manage and coordinate large-scale construction programmes onsite.

You will review contractor schedules, integrate them into the client master programme, and perform critical path and interface analyses to ensure timely progress. Proficiency in Primavera P6, 4D BIM integration, and advanced Excel skills (Power Query, Pivot Tables) is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in large-scale construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Civil/Structural, Mechanical, Electrical or related discipline.
• Extensive experience in programme planning, review, and control for large-scale construction projects using Primavera P6.
• 4D BIM programme integration experience preferred.
• Scheduler stationed on-site full-time for timely coordination.
• Airport project experience preferred.
• Ability to identify and elevate interface and handover risks between packages.
• Knowledge of time-related contractual provisions including EOT principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel with Power Query and Pivot Tables; integrate EDMS outputs into Primavera P6.
• High proficiency in planning/reporting tools: Primavera P6, MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder team.
• Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication; able to present programme clearly.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in large-scale construction projects within a main contractor or EPC environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, Civil C Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or an equivalent related discipline.
• Extensive experience in programme planning, review, and control for large-scale construction projects is required. This includes independent assessment of contractor schedules, integration into the client master programme, progress verification, critical path and interface analysis, and programme reporting using Primavera P6.
• Experience in 4D BIM programme integration is strongly preferred.
• The Scheduler shall be stationed on-site full-time to ensure timely coordination and decision-making.
• Experience in delivering programmes for projects of comparable scale, complexity, and construction sequencing, preferably with airport experience.
• Ability to proactively identify, flag, and elevate interface and handover risks between packages.
• Good working knowledge of time related contractual provisions, including EOT principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Power Query and Pivot Tables, as well as demonstrated ability to manage large datasets and integrate EDMS outputs (e.g. ProjectWise deliverables and metadata) into Primavera P6.
• High level of proficiency in planning and reporting tools, including Primavera P6 (expert-level user), Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being a strong team player capable of performing effectively in a fast paced, multi stakeholder project environment.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels and deliver clear and structured programme presentations.
