Job summary

Fabrica AI in Singapore is seeking a Robotics Software Engineer to design, implement and maintain software for autonomous grout robot operations using ROS2. You will build perception data pipelines, integrate AI/ML models, and ensure real-time performance on edge hardware.

You'll work on calibration, sensor integration (cameras, LIDAR), and testing strategies, collaborating across hardware and software teams to advance rapid deployment at live construction sites.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in C++17 or later for performance-critical systems.
• Proficient in Python for scripting, tooling and ML pipelines.
• Experience with embedded development in C and ROS2.
• Familiarity with Gazebo, OpenCV and ML model integration.
• Version control using Git and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain software modules for autonomous robot operation using the ROS2 framework, including nodes, topics, services and actions.
• Support the robot perception stack by building data pipelines for collection, labeling and preprocessing; assist in AI model training and evaluation.
• Develop and integrate AI/ML models into the robot software stack; perform benchmarking and deployment onto edge hardware.
• Research and evaluate state-of-the-art AI techniques relevant to robotics (object detection, semantic segmentation, depth estimation, scene understanding).
• Calibrate on-robot sensors including cameras and LIDAR; design firmware logic and device-to-device communication (CAN, I2C, SPI).
• Evaluate third-party libraries, SDKs and APIs; design and execute unit, integration and HIL tests.
• Diagnose and resolve software/firmware issues; develop tooling for build systems, testing, logging and remote diagnostics.
• Participate in design reviews, code reviews and contribute to engineering standards.
