A*STAR RESEARCH ENTITIES is seeking a senior robotics specialist to lead multidisciplinary R&D projects in robotic manipulation and autonomous systems in Singapore. You will drive end-to-end development from concept to deployment with industry partners and researchers.

The role requires strong hands-on skills in manipulation, programming in Python/C++, and experience with simulation, AI-enabled perception, and motion planning for complex robotic tasks.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Robotic Systems or related engineering.
• At least 5 years’ experience in robotics and automation systems.
• Hands-on skills in robotic manipulation and physical AI systems.
• Ability to independently lead full-lifecycle R&D projects.
• Experience with industrial robots and manipulation apps (ABB RAPID, URScript, KUKA KRL).

Aufgaben

• Lead multidisciplinary robotic R&D projects with researchers and partners.
• Engage stakeholders to define challenges and objectives; evaluate robotics/AI technologies.
• Develop and validate intelligent systems using simulation and prototypes.
• Develop and integrate robot programs for perception, planning and control.
• Conceptualize manipulation solutions; prepare proposals and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with integrators to deploy solutions; produce documentation and reports.
