Job summary

Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS) is seeking a seasoned robotics control engineer to develop and optimize control strategies for robotic automation systems. Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of robot kinematics, dynamics and control theories (PID, MPC, Impedance).
• Experience developing and deploying pick-and-place or pick-and-assemble applications.
• Hands-on experience with industrial robot arms, sensors, and workcell setup.
• Experience with pre-integrated solutions (Siemens SRP, ABB RobotStudio, Denso VPS).
• Proficiency in programming industrial robots using languages or C/C++ and Python.
• Familiarity with ROS 1/2, Linux, real-time frameworks.
• Any patents/publications or awards in robotics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop control systems for robotic manipulators in pick-and-place and assembly.
• Select, integrate, calibrate sensors, controllers, and actuators for robotic manipulation.
• Design sensor-driven feedback loops with force/torque sensors and vision systems.
• Tune and optimize control systems for fast, smooth, precise operations.
• Develop fault detection and recovery mechanisms to improve robustness.
• Script robot programs using vendor languages or general languages like C/C++ and Python.
• Document technical reports, code, and setup manuals.
