Job summary

Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center Singapore (HMGICS) is seeking a Robotics Software Engineer focused on fleet management. You will design algorithms for autonomous fleet coordination, including task assignment, routing, and scheduling in production settings.

You will build simulation environments, analyze telemetry, and integrate scalable software with ROS2 and messaging frameworks to enhance robustness and efficiency of AMR systems in large-scale logistics operations.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, OR, or Electrical Engineering.
• Strong background in algorithms, optimization and operations research.
• Experience in Python, C++, or C#.
• Experience with multi-agent systems, path planning, robotic coordination, or fleet management.
• Experience building simulation environments and experimentation frameworks.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, MQTT, and distributed service architectures.
• Experience with ROS2 and robotics middleware.
• Experience with large-scale optimization or logistics systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop algorithms for robotic fleet management, including task assignment, scheduling, routing, and resource allocation.
• Develop strategies to improve multi-robot coordination, traffic management, and mission dispatching in dynamic environments.
• Build and maintain simulation and testing environments to evaluate fleet strategies and validate system performance.
• Analyze robot telemetry and operational data to identify bottlenecks and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop scalable software components and services that integrate with robotic systems using modern communication frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable deployment, integration, and operational performance of fleet management solutions.
• Document system designs and stay up to date with advancements in robotics, multi-agent systems, and logistics optimization.
