Job summary

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Business or related discipline required.
• Professional qualifications such as FRM, PRM, CFA advantageous.
• Minimum 7–10 years in energy risk or related discipline; experience in commodity/merchant risk and risk modelling preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain commodity and merchant risk policies, risk appetite and governance frameworks.
• Review risk limits, metrics and escalation thresholds.
• Review policy change requests and incidents; recommend improvements.
• Conduct independent scenario analysis and stress testing (e.g., GMAR).
• Conduct periodic L2 reviews of risk management practices and control effectiveness.
• Review risk exposure from new major transactions; analyze concentrations and trends.
• Prepare risk reports for senior management and risk committees.
• Oversee remediation actions arising from reviews, incidents, audits and policy exceptions.
