Job summary

AMD Singapore is seeking a senior Failure Analysis Engineer to lead analysis of customer returns and drive root-cause investigations across ATE, SLT, and platform-level failures. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering with >5 years of experience.
• Strong in silicon debug or failure analysis.
• Analytical, detail oriented, fast learner.
• Experience with digital/analog failure and SCAN/MBIST/High Speed Loopback.
• Experience or interest in AI or Machine Learning projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis and report writing on customer returns FA, including analysis on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and System Level Test (SLT); duplicate customer reported failure at Platform level and perform board level debug.
• Customer returns debugging pre- and post-Mass Production; field return including Excursion/Critical issue; include DPPM improvement.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration with Device Analysis and Product Engineering for fault isolation and root-cause investigations.
• Identify and define test coverage enhancements to strengthen product quality and long-term reliability.
• Provide technical direction in diagnosing complex issues and align findings with validation strategies for actionable improvements.
• Deliver conclusive results and write final analysis reports for customer communication.
• Own local product areas including ATE/SLT/OSV, RMA/OSV program, test programs, and point of contact for product queries.
• Coach junior team members on technical challenges arising in IP or failure categories.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
