Job summary

AMD is seeking an experienced engineer to lead returns debug and failure analysis within Quality & Reliability. You will analyze customer returns, leverage ATE/SLT knowledge, and drive root-cause investigations with cross-functional teams to improve product quality.

The role requires strong debugging skills, scripting in Python/Java, and familiarity with hardware interfaces like PCIe/USB. Singapore-based, on-site position with a focus on customer-facing reliability improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering with preferred > 5 relevant years of experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for complex debugging.
• Experience with failure analysis and root cause investigations on hardware.
• Knowledge in ATE, SLT, and high-speed interfaces; JTAG a plus.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, Perl or Linux shell scripting.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis and report writing on customer returns and FA, including ATE/SLT.
• Lead fault isolation with cross-functional teams to identify root causes.
• Define test coverage improvements to raise product reliability.
• Provide technical direction and document final analysis reports for customers.
