Job summary

ExxonMobil-NTU-A seeks a Project Manager to oversee all phases of the Corporate Lab's research portfolio at NTU. You will manage five research programmes, including budgeting, reporting, and coordination with PIs, NRF, A*STAR, and ExxonMobil, ensuring governance and IP reporting compliance.

You will lead KPI tracking, governance meetings, and supervise the Project Officer, with strong emphasis on communication and financial oversight. This role is based in Singapore.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in research project management or grants administration.
• Experience with Singapore government-funded research grants (NRF, A*STAR, IAF-ICP) is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interface with academic, government, and corporate stakeholders.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact and coordination hub between the Principal Investigators, ERI@N management, NTU's RSO, NRF, A*STAR, and ExxonMobil for project management matters.
• Oversee end-to-end project management across five research programmes, incl. initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Lead the preparation and submission of progress and annual reports to NRF and ExxonMobil.
• Manage the Corporate Lab budget: plan forecasts, monitor expenditure, and ensure financial governance compliance.
• Oversee accounting activities: raise POs, review claims, liaise with NTU Finance for reporting.
• Prepare formal correspondence with NRF, A*STAR, and ExxonMobil, incl. extensions or amendments and IP disclosures.
• Coordinate governance meetings: prepare agendas, minutes, action logs, and presentations.
• Track KPIs, milestones, deliverables, and IP outcomes across programmes.
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies; escalate issues to ERI@N management and PIs.
• Ensure compliance with NTU policies, NRF grant conditions, and regulatory requirements; manage audits and closeouts.
• Supervise and mentor the Project Officer/Senior Project Officer.
