Job summary

NTU Singapore is seeking a Senior Research Fellow to develop, optimise, and validate wireless power transfer (WPT) systems for electric vehicle charging roadway applications. Qualifications

• PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or closely related field.
• More than 5 years of research experience in wireless power transfer and related EMI/shielding topics.
• Proficiency with electromagnetic simulation tools.
• Experience with WPT coil design, impedance matching, and magnetic-field analysis.
• Experience with laboratory measurements for WPT and RF/low-frequency systems.
• Strong publication record in relevant areas.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C/C++ or equivalent tools for simulation and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimise, and validate Double-D coil-based WPT systems for EV charging roadway applications.
• Simulate WPT efficiency, field distribution, impedance matching, and misalignment tolerance.
• Design/prototype surfaces or dielectric matching layers to improve magnetic coupling.
• Evaluate shielding performance and safety compliance of WPT systems.
• Create lab measurement setups to validate efficiency, shielding, and robustness.
• Analyze results, prepare technical reports, publish findings, and support project milestones.
• Collaborate with PhD/MSc students and cross-disciplinary collaborators.
