Job summary

sggovterp in Singapore is seeking a Senior/ Assistant Engineer in Development & Building Control (Rail) to help regulate rail-related development and ensure safety compliance. You will review designs, perform risk assessments, and coordinate with rail authorities, developers, consultants, and contractors.

You will work on site with a team, applying civil/structural engineering expertise and contributing to the safety and efficiency of road and rail infrastructure through cutting-edge practices.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Analytical and resourceful in a demanding environment.
• Self-motivated with ability to multi-task and eagerness to learn.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work independently while being a strong team player.
• Experience in civil engineering design and supervision is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Regulate development and building works within railway protection zones and road safety zones.
• Review designs for temporary and permanent works affecting rail and roads.
• Conduct engineering risk assessments and analyse methodologies.
• Review geotechnical and structural instrumentation data.
• Support site inspections to verify compliance with approved methods.
• Collaborate with developers, consultants and contractors, and liaise with LTA stakeholders.
