Job summary

Horizon Quantum Computing seeks a senior scientist to help build software development tools for quantum computing. You will collaborate with product, engineering and design teams to develop enabling technology behind our products and ensure successful implementation of features and specifications.

You will mentor junior scientists, document results, and contribute to internal IP. A strong background in quantum hardware and programming in C/C++ and Python is required.

Qualifications

• PhD in CS, Physics, or related engineering field.
• 2+ years post-doctoral work or equivalent R&D experience.
• Experience in quantum hardware and modeling realistic quantum circuits.
• Programming experience with C, C++ and Python; Matlab preferred.
• Experience of professional software development processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Horizon's products with peers.
• Solve scientific and technical problems and integrate solutions into code.
• Develop quantum control within Horizon's products framework.
• Mentor junior scientists to advance technical skills.
• Maintain documentation and present results internally and externally.
• Write reports, research papers and technical documentation as required.
• Collaborate with partners to develop and protect IP.
• Stay up to date with the latest scientific and technical advances.
