Job summary

Quantinuum in Singapore is seeking a Software Engineer/Developer to design and build a hybrid workflow orchestrator between quantum processors and classical HPC resources.

You will integrate Slurm with quantum runtimes, work with QPU SDKs, and ensure reliability of distributed systems. The role offers a competitive package and equity, plus flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Rust and/or C++.

Job description

We are seeking a talented and innovative Software Engineer/Developer to design and develop a hybrid workflow orchestrator between Quantinuum quantum processors and classical supercomputing resources in Singapore. Quantinuum is bridging the gap between classical high-performance computing (HPC) and next-generation Quantum Processing Units (QPUs). We are building the foundational software stack that allows researchers and engineers to solve intractable problems by seamlessly integrating quantum acceleration into traditional supercomputing workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Build and maintain scalable orchestration software to manage hybrid quantum-classical workflows.
• HPC Integration: Develop robust interfaces between HPC job schedulers (e.g., Slurm) and quantum runtimes, optimizing data movement and job scheduling.
• QPU Interoperability: Work with QPU hardware control systems and SDKs to integrate quantum execution into production pipelines.
