Job summary

SIM SENG HIN SAWMILL COMPANY (PTE.) LIMITED is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to manage take-off quantities, cost estimates and bills of quantities for interior fit-out projects. You will liaise with suppliers and contractors, track variation orders, and prepare monthly progress claims to clients and sub-contractors.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma or Degree in QS/Building with 5+ years (QS) or 10+ years (Senior QS) of relevant experience, and can work independently while meeting tight

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in QS/Building or equivalent.
• 5+ years (QS) / 10+ years (Senior QS) in interior fit-out/joinery industry.
• Able to work independently with min supervision.
• A good team player with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Positive work attitude, seek continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Take off quantities efficiently.
• Liaise and negotiate with suppliers and contractors related to projects.
• Prepare quotations, cost estimates and bills of quantities.
• Keep track of Variation Orders.
• Certification of progress claims from sub-contractors.
• Keep track of final accounts and variation orders.
• Prepare contract administration for client, consultants, subcontractors.
• Assist estimation, cost planning and forecast budgeting.
• Prepare Monthly Progress Claim to Client and Sub-Contractors.
• Prepare for Payment Response to sub-contractor and suppliers and keeping trace of response.
• Prepare technical details and costing for tender submission.
• Source materials and obtain quotations for evaluation.
• Carry out other Contracts administration activities.
• Other quantity surveying related duties as assigned.
