Job summary

CONSTRUCT PEOPLE PTE LTD is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support the Costs & Contracts Manager and Project Manager. You will lead a team of cost and contract executives, preparing budgets, cash-flow, EOT and claims, and ensuring timely subcontractor awards.

You will coordinate with project teams, ensure tender accuracy, manage quantities and drawings, and perform cost analyses to support procurement and subcontract decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Building/Quantity Surveying is required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in QS/Contracts.
• Well-versed in Contracts Administration and Tenders.
• Good negotiation and coordination skills are essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels.
• Meticulous, analytical with problem-solving skills; proactive and a team player; able to meet tight deadlines.
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Proficient in MS Excel and AutoCAD; able to learn new specialist software.
• Able to supervise and motivate subordinates to form a strong team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Costs & Contracts Manager / Project Manager in overseeing a team of Cost and Contract Executives.
• Prepare cost budgets and cash-flow projections for projects, track changes and adjust budgets.
• Prepare extension of time and costs claims (VO).
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely award of subcontractors and suppliers.
• Communicate with technical team to ensure quotations meet specifications and construction methods.
• Prepare quantity measurement and drawings within targeted timelines.
• Source quotations and perform cost analysis based on drawings, design, materials and labour.
• Prepare and call quotations, evaluate for costing of tenders, negotiate and award subcontracts.
• Certify and evaluate progress work, including contract administration for variations.
• Assess and submit monthly progress claims and recommend subcontractor payments.
