Job summary

EM Services Pte Ltd is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to prepare cost estimates, budgets, and cost plans for diverse projects. You will administer contracts, evaluate progress claims and support the preparation of final accounts with contractors and consultants.

You will monitor expenditures, prepare cash flow forecasts, and review quotations for reasonableness. A minimum 3 years of QS experience in construction or estate projects is required; senior candidates may lead teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Building, Quantity Surveying, or Project & Facilities Management or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of relevant QS experience in construction, maintenance, A&A, or estate upgrading projects.
• Candidates with more than 8 years of relevant experience and proven leadership may be considered for the QSM.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets and cost plans for projects.
• Administer contracts in accordance with applicable Conditions of Contract (e.g. PSSCOC).
• Evaluate and certify contractors’ progress payment claims.
• Assess and recommend Variation Orders (VOs), claims and entitlements.
• Monitor project expenditure against budgets and report on cost status.
• Prepare cost reports and cash flow forecasts for management and clients.
• Measure completed works and verify quantities on site where required.
• Prepare, negotiate and finalise Final Accounts with contractors and consultants.
• Review quotations and verify reasonableness of rates and prices.
• Attend site, technical and progress meetings with stakeholders.
