Job summary

Kian Hiap Construction Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to prepare cost estimates, measurements, and cost control for projects.

You will assist in direct and indirect cost estimation, prepare payments advice, monitor site progress, and support claims and change orders, working closely with project management.

The role requires a degree or diploma in Building or Quantity Surveying, proficiency in English and MS Office, and at least five years' experience.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Building and Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Proficiency in English and MS Office.
• Min 5 years relevant work experience.
• Strong mathematical and accounting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates as required.
• Prepare measurement sheets and assist in quantity take-off.
• Assist in estimation of direct & indirect costs for sub-contract sublet.
• Monitor and record site progress and keep records of day works.
• Check allocation of manpower and productivity; prepare supplier/subcontractor quotations comparison sheets.
• Prepare payments advice and certify claims submission for subcontractors and suppliers.
• Assist in claims preparation with Project Manager/Director.
• Follow up payments from main contractor/consultant/client.
• Establish and operate project cost control with the PD/PM.
• Provide advice on contractual claims, variations orders or other contractual matters.
• Measure and compute values for variations and prepare interim/final accounts.
• Provide estimates, computations and work on contractual/technical/project change orders.
• Prepare monthly progress payments to main contractors/consultants/clients.
