Job summary

Lucky Engineering & Construction Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage commercial and contractual aspects of construction projects in Singapore.

The role focuses on cost estimation, tender preparation, contract administration, and timely payment processing. You will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate pricing, effective cost control and thorough final accounts.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Relevant experience in the construction industry is preferred.
• Good knowledge of construction contracts, cost estimation, tendering, and quantity measurement.
• Familiar with Progress Claims, Variation Orders, and Final Accounts.
• Good analytical, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant QS software.
• Singapore construction industry experience will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Cost Estimation & Tendering: Prepare cost estimates, quantity take-offs, and tender documents for construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ensure accurate pricing.
• Contract & Commercial Management: Manage construction contracts and monitor contractual obligations.
• Review quotations, contracts, and commercial terms with contractors and suppliers.
• Progress Claims & Payment: Prepare and assess progress claims and payment applications.
• Verify completed works and ensure accurate valuation of work done.
• Variation & Cost Control: Evaluate and manage Variation Orders (VO) and additional works.
• Monitor project costs and ensure expenditure remains within the approved budget.
• Subcontractor & Supplier Coordination: Review subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Negotiate prices and commercial terms where required.
• Maintain good working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and clients.
• Final Account & Documentation: Prepare and negotiate final accounts upon project completion.
• Maintain accurate records of contracts, quotations, claims, variations, and other commercial documents.
