Job summary

Quek Hock Seng Construction Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to lead pre- and post-contract work, tender pricing, cost control, and team leadership within a construction contracting environment.

You will prepare cost reports, manage variations, sub-contracts, and payments, and mentor junior staff, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with build contracts and stringent cost management.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Building or equivalent.
• Understanding of building contract law and contractual obligations.
• At least 6 years of working experience with main contractor.
• High level of integrity, responsibility, good team player and helpful.
• Sound computer literacy including advanced skills in Excel and QS related software.

Responsibilities

• Experience in pre and post contract administration.
• Prepare tender cost submission, pricing, quantity take off, and cost evaluation.
• Obtain quotations, liaise and negotiate with sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Measure quantities and take off.
• Prepare Variation Orders, claims and final accounts.
• Prepare sub contracts and sub-contractor payments.
• Complete required obligations within stipulated timings and other constraints.
• Prepare regular cost reports, financial forecasts, and management updates.
• Manage and mentor junior team members.
