Job summary

BACHY SOLETANCHE SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a seasoned Quantity Surveyor to support major civil projects in Singapore.

The role focuses on contract administration, payment applications, and coordination of sub-contractors, with emphasis on MRT-related experience and meticulous cost control. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering, brings 15+ years of relevant experience (main contractor preferred), and is proficient in MS Office, especially Excel.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience; main contractor preferred.
• Must have LTA MRT project experience.
• Meticulous and detail oriented, with strong communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications, especially Excel.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare contractual correspondence with Project Manager and submit notices per timetable.
• Prepare and submit payment applications, follow-up for promotes and final accounts.
• Prepare works orders for sub-contractors and settle final accounts.
• Prepare monthly sales figures and report sub-contractor liabilities.
• Measure and submit price fluctuation adjustment claims.
• Evaluate supplier/sub-contractor/service provider claims and variations.
• Perform measurements for civil works including traffic & drainage diversions.
• Ensure insurance claims are notified and particulars submitted on time.
• Prepare schedule of rates.

Job Description:

• Prepare contractual correspondence with Project Manager, submit claims notices promptly and in accordance with contractual timetable
• Prepare and submit payment applications on due date, follow-up applications to ensure promote certificate and payment, and ensure final accounts are submitted in a timely manner and are agreed to maximum value
• Prepare works orders for sub-contractors, prepare monthly payments and settle sub-contractors final accounts
• Prepare monthly sales figures for Project Manager agreement and report monthly sub-contractor liabilities
• Measurement and submission of price fluctuation adjustment claims
• Evaluate suppliers, sub-contractors, service provider claims and analysis of variation orders
• Executes various types of measurements in civil works, including traffic diversion, drainage diversion, plumbing and sanitary, addition and alteration, architectural works, and reinforced concrete works
• Ensure insurance claims are notified promptly and claim particulars are submitted on time
• Prepares schedule of rates

Job Requirement:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
• At least 15 years of relevant experience, with main contractor experience preferred
• Must have LTA MRT project experience
• Meticulous and detailed oriented
• Proficient with Microsoft Application, especially in Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Other information:

• Working hours: 5.5 days per week (Alternate Saturdays half day)
• Comfortable to work in site office environment
