CHINA CIVIL ENGINEERING CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION Branch Office Singapore is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Contract Manager to manage take-off, BOQ preparation, and procurement for construction projects in Singapore. You will coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, perform cost estimation, and handle tender-to-contract administration.

The role requires a minimum of 5 years in construction, with diploma or degree in Building/Quantity Surveying/Civil/Structural Engineering.

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma or degree in Building, Quantity Surveying, Civil or Structural Engineering.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the construction sector.
• Senior candidates may be considered for Senior Quantity Surveyor / Assistant Contract Manager.

Responsibilities

• Take-off quantities, prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and drawings/specifications for quotations.
• Source for sub-contractors and suppliers; cost estimation for pre- and post-contract.
• Pre and post tender/contract negotiation, administration and monitoring.
• Track design/construction budget changes and adjust projections.
• Price and forecast material costs for projects.
• Procurement duties: tender docs, calls for quotations, evaluate and compare costs.
• Follow up on invoices, purchase orders, sub-contracts and letters of award.
• Monitor progress and assess sub-contractor variation orders before certification; contract admin for variations.
• Follow up monthly progress claims; participate in site meetings with client and consultants.

Experience required;

Take-off quantities, prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ, drawings and specifications for the calling of quotations).

Source for sub-contractors and suppliers, quantity measurement, costing and estimation for both pre-contract and post contract.

Pre and post tender/contract negotiation, administration, and monitoring.

Track changes to the Design/ Construction work and adjust budget projections accordingly.

Price and forecast the cost of different materials required for the project.

Procurement responsibilities including tender document preparation, calling for quotation for sub-contract works, evaluate, and compare costs before awarding the works for sub-contract package.

Follow up on invoice preparation, purchase order, work order, sub-contract agreement and letter of award to sub-contractors and/or suppliers.

Monitor and evaluate work progress and assess sub-contractor's progress payment claims and variation order claims before certification. This will include contract administration for any variation or change for both Sub-contracts and Main Contracts.

To follow up on monthly progress claims in a timely manner.

Involved in respective site, client, and consultant meetings, Liaise closely with project sites for related claims.

Minimum diploma or degree holder in Building / Quantity Surveying / Civil / Structural Engineering

At least 5 year(s) of relevant working experience in Construction sector
