About the role
This role involves managing and overseeing project quality to ensure compliance with codes, standards, regulations, equipment-specific specifications, and QMS requirements. You will advance quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization, manage the development and implementation of QMS for planning, fabrication, inspection, documentation, and operations activities, and provide leadership and mentorship to QA/QC personnel.
Key responsibilities
Manage and oversee project quality to ensure compliance to codes, standards, regulations, equipment specific specifications, and QMS requirements
Advance quality achievement and performance improvement throughout the organization
Manage the development and implementation of the QMS for planning, fabrication, inspection, documentation, and operations activities
Plan duties within the QA/QC staff and related work schedules
Establish service standards for end users (internal department or external customer)
Liaise with QA team to establish project audits and conduct independent site surveillance, inspections and audits
Develop procedures and standards on vendor assessment and inspection activities
Oversee supervision of all visual inspections and NDE, including 3rd party subcontractors
Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction of all QA/QC personnel
Perform quality audits that address ISO 9001 requirements including technical requirements of engineering, procurement and construction aspects of project delivery
About you
Preferably Degree in Engineering or other related discipline
Preferably 15-20 years working experience in Oil & Gas Industry
Preferably Experience in storage construction industry
Welding Inspector certificate (CWI by AWS or CSWIP 3.1 by TWI UK Ltd)
NACE Level 1 Certificate or equivalent certificates
Lead Auditor Certificate or experienced in lead auditing (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
Thorough understanding of the principles and practice of Quality Management systems in Construction projects
Excellent written and communication skills
Resilient and "can-do" attitude
Ability to travel to Qatar as and when required
