Job summary

Randstad Singapore, on behalf of a highly established global insurer, seeks a Senior Technical Underwriting Director for the Asia region. You will steer underwriting strategy, governance and portfolio management across Property, Casualty, and Specialty lines.

The role centers on regional frameworks, pricing, and risk control. You will lead a team of underwriters, actuaries and risk managers, driving profitability through data-driven decisions and close collaboration with product and distribution

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Finance, Economics or related field.
Advanced industry qualifications such as ACII or CPCU are highly desirable.
12–15 years of technical underwriting experience in Property/Casualty/Specialty.

Responsibilities

Developing and implementing regional underwriting frameworks, guidelines, and pricing strategies.
Conducting portfolio reviews and audits to ensure compliance with global standards.
Acting as the technical authority for complex regional risks and referrals.
Collaborating with distribution and product teams to tailor specialty insurance products.
Driving data-driven decisions through analytics and market intelligence.
