Job summary

Rico Engineering Works Pte Ltd is seeking a proactive assistant to support the Project Director in designing fire protection systems for Data Centres and commercial projects. You will collaborate with drafters, study installation codes, and coordinate subcontractors’ site work.

The role involves attending contractor meetings, contributing to variation claims, and assisting with method statements and project schedules.

Qualifications

• Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Diploma or Degree holders with no prior experience are welcome.
• Class 3 license preferred or being pursued is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Director in coordinating fire protection design with drafters for Data Centres and commercial projects.
• Study codes and practices for fire protection installation to ensure compliance.
• Coordinate subcontractors' site installations and monitor on-site progress.
• Attend meetings with main contractors to discuss project needs and status.
• Support Project Manager in preparing variation claims and submitted method statements/schedules.
• Conduct on-site surveys to generate cost estimates for customers.
• Perform quality checks and analyses to ensure subcontractor installations comply with standards.

Job description

Assisting your Project Director in:

1. Work with drafters on designing fire protection systems for Data Centres/commercial projects

2. Read up and understand code of practices for fire protection installation

3. Coordination of sub contractor's site installation

4. Attend meetings with main contractors

5. Assist your Project Manager in preparing variation claims

6. Assist your Project Manager in the submission of method statements/project schedules

7. On site survey to provide a costing for customers

8. Quality checks and analysis. Specifically to check on the compliance of installations done by your sub-contractors.
