Job summary

Bureau Veritas Buildings & Infrastructure Pte. Ltd. seeks an experienced senior civil/structural engineer to lead engineering works from site initiation to handover. You will coordinate with diverse teams, review technical docs, monitor progress, and manage risks to ensure safe, compliant delivery.

The role requires nearly two decades of experience, strong BIM/EDMS skills, and ability to communicate effectively with clients and authorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering or related field recognized by PEB (Singapore).
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in large‑scale building and infrastructure construction projects.
• Proven experience across Civil, Structural, Geotechnical, Mechanical, or Electrical works.
• Successfully completed at least three large‑scale projects from construction through handover.
• Strong technical knowledge of reinforced concrete, precast, structural steelwork, and composite design.
• Demonstrated project management, coordination, and construction delivery experience.
• Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Familiarity with BIM apps and EDMS (Bentley ProjectWise or similar).
• Experience using CDE, Primavera P6, and PM systems for monitoring and risk assessment.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Power BI data reporting preferred.
• Self‑motivated, independent, and able to perform in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong team player across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage civil and structural engineering works throughout project execution and handover.
• Coordinate with project teams, consultants, contractors, clients, and stakeholders to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Review and evaluate drawings, specifications, submissions, RFIs, RFAs, and project documentation.
• Monitor progress and identify technical, coordination, and delivery risks.
• Provide expertise in reinforced concrete, precast, steelwork, and composite construction.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design and construction issues.
• Analyse data from CDE, EDMS, Primavera P6, and other PM systems to support decisions.
• Review BIM models and digital project information for coordination and constructability.
• Facilitate meetings and technical discussions with clients, consultants, contractors, and authorities.
• Support project reporting and prepare executive presentations and dashboards.
• Ensure compliance with requirements, safety standards, and quality procedures.
• Contribute to problem solving, negotiation, conflict resolution, and stakeholder management initiatives.
