Job summary

wee poh construction co. (pte.) ltd. in Singapore is seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to lead on-site construction activities and drive progress according to master and detailed work programs.

• Recognized degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• PE Board recognized degree preferred.
• Minimum 6 years' experience in building or civil projects.
• Experience in architectural works is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Reports to Project Manager and oversees site construction activities.
• Plans, implements, and monitors work schedules per master/detailed programs.
• Coordinate with Consultants and subcontractors on technical issues.
• Lead a group of supervisors to keep site progress on schedule.
• Maintain quality standards and conduct site inspections.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance during design and construction phases.
• Support manpower, materials and equipment management to optimize productivity.

Job Duties

• Reports to Project Manager.
• Overseeing the construction activities and progress, planning, implementation and monitoring work schedules in accordance to the master and detailed work programs.
• Liaise with Consultants on technical issues and coordinate the site activities with subcontractors.
• Lead a group of supervisors and ensure site progress is on schedule.
• Maintain quality standards and carry out site inspections.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements, regulations, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance during project design and construction phases,resolving technical issues promptly and effectively.
• Support the management of manpower, materials, and equipment to optimize productivity and efficiency.

Requirements

• Recognized Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent. PE Board recognized degree is preferred.
• At least 6 years' experience in building or civil engineering project for senior role.
• Minimum 2 complete cycle (piling to roof) for HDB projects.
• Experience in architectural works will be an advantage.
• Technical competence.
• Knowledge in BIM/VDC is an advantage.
• Positive attitude and good team player.
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency.
