Job summary

a-star testing & inspection (s) pte. ltd. is seeking a Senior Project Engineer (CCS) with a strong PM profile for large-scale civil and infrastructure works in Singapore.

You will coordinate across disciplines, review BIM and EDMS data, and manage interfaces with clients and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met. The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in construction, expertise in reinforced concrete, precast and steelwork, and proven ability to lead complex coordination.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in construction across Civil/Structural/Geotechnical/Mechanical/Electrical works for large projects.
• Degree in Civil/ Structural Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering or recognised by PEB, Singapore.
• Degree in relevant field subject to OIC.
• Successfully completed at least two projects through construction and handover stages.
• Strong technical background with experience in project management and coordination for large civil/infrastructure works.
• Experience in reinforced concrete, precast, structural steelwork and composite design and construction.
• Able to use CDE/EDMS and Primavera P6 to identify project coordination risks from data.
• Interpret drawings, specs and project requirements; proficient with BIM models and EDMS.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced projects.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication for stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong negotiation, conflict management and presentation skills with CLIENT collaboration.

Job description

Key Requirements

• a.Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in construction in either of the following discipline: Civil / Structural / Geotechnical / Mechanical / Electrical works for large scale building and infrastructure project.
• b.Degree in Civil C Structural Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Building Science or recognised by the Professional Engineers Boad (PEB),Singapore.
• b.Degree in the relevant field will be subject to theOIC.
• c. Successfully completed at least two projects through the construction and handover stages.
• d.The Senior Project Engineer (CCS) shall have strong technical background, with experience in project management and coordination, preferably in large scale civil and infrastructure works.
• e.The candidate should have relevant experience in reinforced concreate, precast, structural steelwork and compositedesign and construction.
• f.Self-motivated and driven, with strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesise data from the Common Data Environment (CDE), EDMS, and Primavera P6 to identify project coordination risks.
• g.Able to interpret technical drawings, specifications and project requirements. Proficient in navigating BIM models and using approved Electronic Document Management System(EDMS such as Bentley ProjectWise) to review technicaldrawings, specifications, RFI/RFA (Request for Information/Approval) and other project related
• h.Able to work independently, a strong team player and capable to handle fast-paced projects.
• i.Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills,enabling collaboration with stakeholders across all levels.
• j.Strong negotiation, conflict management, and presentation skills, with the ability to collaborate with CLIENT, and other stakeholders.
• k.High Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with the ability to interpret data driven dashboards (Power BI) and to prepare executive-level presentations.
