Job summary

Vico Construction Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a structural engineer to support on-site technical matters and review project drawings. You will develop milestones with the Project Manager and ensure works align with plans, safety, and quality standards.

Coordinate with subcontractors and consultants, manage changes to drawings, and assist in BIM/C-score implementation, material testing, and daily progress reporting to keep the project on track.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in main building construction.
• Experience in HDBBTO Projects is preferred.
• Good track records & working experience with local A1/A2 main contractors is preferred.
• Analytical, organized and possess strong planning skills.
• Excellent project and time management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Report to Project Manager, develop projected milestone, plans and method statements.
• Responsible for on-site technical and engineering matters.
• Coordinate and review drawings for the structural part of the project management plan.
• Ensure site works are executed based on approved drawings, project requirements, schedule, safety & quality standards.
• Organise pre-inspection before formal acceptance; coordinate with sub-contractors and consultants.
• Identify and solve problems that do not fulfil engineering and structure requirements.
• Coordinate with internal departments for all drawings.
• Provide timely technical clarification of changes to engineering drawings and other documents.
• Assist the structural manager to coordinate cross-construction activities and daily safety management.
• Cooperate with BIM and C-score implementation by the company's technical department.
• Supervise concrete usage and control quality of prefabricated components, steel bars and materials; supervise material testing.
• Maintain site records and progress reports; address drawing issues and authorities submissions.
• Coordinate, attend meetings, liaise with consultants, clients, etc.
• Other duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Job description

Responsibility:

• Report to Project Manager, develop projected milestone, plans and method statement.
• Responsible for on-site technical and engineering matters.
• Participate in the preparation of construction plans and technical coordination for the structural part of the project management plan. Participate in the drawing review.
• Ensure site works are executed based on approved drawing, project requirement, schedule, safety & quality standard.
• Organise the pre-inspection before formal acceptance. Coordinate and inspect with sub-contractor and consultant.
• Identify and solve problem areas that do not fulfil engineering and structure requirements.
• Coordinate with internal departments for all drawings.
• Responsible for timely technical clarification of changes to engineering drawings and other technical documents.
• Assist the structural manager to coordinate the cross-construction cooperation of various construction teams and professional subcontracts. Participate into the daily project safety management.
• Cooperate with the company's technical department and participate in the implementation of BIM and C-score.
• Coordination and on-site supervision of the concrete usage of the building, responsible/assist in completing the control and quality supervision of the prefabricated components, steel bars and other materials of the building; responsible for the structural material testing.
• Upkeep site record and progress report. Handling of drawing issues and authorities submission.
• Coordinate, attend meetings, liaise with consultants, clients, etc.
• Other duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Requirement:

• Candidate must possess valid Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering /Architecture. Degree in Civil Engineering recognized by Singapore IES / BCA and PE Board is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in main building construction.
• Experience in HDBBTO Projects is preferred.
• Good track records & working experience with local A1/ A2 main contractors is preferred.
