Job summary

The Assistant Director (Building) at People’s Association (PA) leads planning, design and construction management of Community Club/Centre projects and PA development works, ensuring safe, functional and community-ready spaces for residents to meet and bond.

They drive delivery across the full project lifecycle, mentor a team of project managers, and enforce governance and cost discipline while engaging stakeholders and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum - Professional Certification in Architecture, Building or Project Management or Engineering or equivalent.
• Desired - Tier 2 Lead certification from DDM Accreditation Scheme by building SMART Singapore, or equivalent certification recognised by PA.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle (planning, design, tender through construction, handover, closure) for Community Club/Centre projects and PA development works.
• Review building designs with stakeholders and coordinate with co-locating partners to meet residents' needs.
• Mentor project managers to build technical and leadership capabilities.
• Monitor project status and submit progress updates to Management and Stakeholders.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks and manage budgets and variation orders.
• Maintain stakeholder management to align objectives and resolve conflicts.
• Ensure compliance with Government, PA policies, and safety standards throughout all phases.
• Oversee project closure and archiving of documents and approvals.
