Job summary

Amec Foster Wheeler Group in Singapore seeks a skilled Project Controls Specialist to act as the focal point for client and contractor reporting on cost and progress. You will ensure alignment with project reporting requirements and deliver timely, accurate cost and schedule data for multi-project programs.

You will oversee WBS development, change control, earned value, risk analysis, and variances to baseline, producing weekly and monthly status reports.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or business discipline.
• Minimum of six years of progressive industry experience, with at least four years in project control positions.
• Advanced working knowledge of MS Project or Primavera.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Knowledge of contracts management, commercial management and project management.

Responsibilities

• Act as the focal point with the client and any contractor Project Controllers to ensure costs and progress are reported accurately and aligned with project reporting requirements.
• Report planned vs actual progress figures.
• Monitor cost and schedule impact of milestone achievement or non-achievement.
• Identify, monitor and report on critical path and potential slippages.
• Produce weekly and monthly project cost and planning status reports.
• Develop and maintain project work breakdown structure for specific scopes of work.
• Manage cost coding, initial budget setup and approvals.
• Forecast budgets and assess impact of change requests on budgets and schedules.
• Support billing processes and cost-related queries.
• Assist with baseline and forecast installation unit rates for quantity change estimates.
• Support earned value progress measurement and related analyses.
• Create Gantt charts and maintain project schedules with changes.
• Monitor current and future resource needs and identify recovery actions.
• Coordinate change orders and ensure compliant change management processes.
• Attend client progress meetings and contribute to proposal schedules.
