Job summary

COGNEX SINGAPORE MANUFACTURING PTE. LTD. is seeking a Sr. Production Operator to support all aspects of production in the distribution area, including assembly, test, software loading, packaging, inventory control, shipping, and other tasks to meet targets.

The role involves loading customer-specific software on vision systems and industrial PCs, handling complex assemblies, and maintaining accuracy and housekeeping in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years' experience in a production environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all applicable processes and procedures are followed during the entire order process.
• Use production orders to load customer-specific software on vision systems, barcode readers and industrial PCs.
• Identify and escalate quality issues with testers and/or products to Supervisor/Manager.
• Use the correct material and quantities to build customer kits and validate those kits.
• Place material into correct stocking location and pull material from correct locations using production orders and delivery notes.
• Accurately pick sales order material and quantities for processing.
• Ad hoc duties as instructed by the supervisor.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for supporting all aspects of production within the distribution area. This includes assembly, test, loading of customer-specific software, packaging, inventory control, shipping, and any other tasks required to meet production targets. The Sr. Production Operator is assigned more complex tasks/products within the distribution center.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all applicable processes and procedures are followed during the entire order process
• Use appropriate production orders to load customer-specific software on vision systems, barcode readers and industrial PCs
• Identifies and escalates quality issues with testers and/or products to Supervisor/Manager
• Use the correct material and quantities to build customer kits and validate those kits
• Use production orders and delivery notes to place material into the correct stocking location / pull material from the correct location
• Accurately pick sales order material and quantities for processing
• Ad hoc duties as instructed by the supervisor

Required Skills/Abilities:

• High energy, self-motivated individual capable of performing, system configuration, complex electro-mechanical assembly, inspection, and kitting functions on customer orders
• Must have outstanding manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Ability to understand and follow complex electro-mechanical assembly, inspection, and kitting functions on customer orders
• The ability to work on more complex assemblies and products within the distribution Center
• Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks
• Able to identify and elevate quality issues with the testers and/or products
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• The ability to understand and follow complex instructions and elevate any deviations from the defined process to the area Supervisor or Manager
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to always maintain an elevated level of housekeeping and inventory accuracy
• Available to work overtime as needed

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years' experience in a production environment preferred

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
• Able to lift up to 20 pounds
