Job summary

Maybank Singapore seeks a Product Owner for Digital Payments and Account Onboarding to own the customer journey end-to-end, drive business outcomes, and partner with Business, Technology, Operations, Risk and Compliance to deliver secure, scalable digital banking solutions.

The role requires 7–10 years in Banking or Digital Onboarding, with deep knowledge of Singapore rails, MAS regulations, and extensive Agile leadership across multiple teams and vendors.

Qualifications

• A good degree with at least 8 years' relevant experience in Banking, Digital Banking, Payments or Digital Onboarding.
• Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager or Business Analyst leading digital initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore payment rails (PayNow, FAST, GIRO), remittance and cross-border payments.
• Familiarity with MAS regulatory requirements, risk controls and data privacy obligations.
• Experience working in Agile environments and managing delivery across multiple teams and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Define product vision, roadmap and priorities aligned to business, customer and regulatory needs.
• Lead Agile delivery from ideation through implementation, including user stories, backlog management, UAT and production rollout.
• Drive initiatives across: (1) PayNow, FAST, GIRO, remittance and cross-border payments, (2) Digital CASA and Time Deposit onboarding, (3) eKYC/MyInfo integration and onboarding automation and (4) STP, fraud controls and compliance enhancements.
• Partner with Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance and external vendors to deliver scalable and resilient solutions.
• Define success metrics upfront and use data insights to drive product decisions and continuous improvements.
• Anticipate dependencies, manage delivery risks and ensure regulatory and security requirements are embedded early in the delivery lifecycle.
• Own production incidents, root cause analysis and backlog prioritisation for service improvements.
• Collaborate and support complementary strategic digital initiatives and ecosystem partnerships.
