Job summary

Asahi Kasei Synthetic Rubber Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a Process Engineer to draft and implement process improvements, enhance safety and product quality, and reduce energy use within the plant.

You will coordinate trials with R&D and Operations, evaluate long-term process performance, participate in HAZOP and FMEA, oversee capital projects from concept to FEED, and drive Industry 4.0 productivity initiatives while ensuring compliance with ISO and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 3 years Petrochemical experience for non-senior; Senior: 5+ years in Petrochemical industries.
• Singapore Certified Energy Manager (SCEM) certification a plus.
• Familiarity with Safety Case Regime, IATF 16949, ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, SS 651 and IEC 61511.
• Familiarity with Distributed Control System (DCS) and its logic/sequence modification.
• Able to multi-task and maintain broad responsibilities while delivering results.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Draft and implement process improvements to enhance safety, product quality, energy use, productivity, and cost via MOC or non-regular systems.
• Coordinate new grade trials with R&D and Operations, manage trials and evaluations.
• Evaluate long-term process performance and key parameters to uncover risks to plant stability, safety or quality.
• Lead/participate in HAZOP, FMEA and Control plan studies for safety and quality.
• Oversee process-related capital expenditure projects from concept to FEED, guiding assigned projects.
• Study and implement Industry 4.0 technologies to boost productivity improvements.
• Collaborate with departments to maintain management systems (ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, SS651, IATF16949, Safety Case Regime, Energy Management, ISCC+).
