Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to support offshore Oil & Gas engineering projects. You will execute process engineering activities, develop documentation, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, vendors and contractors.

A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering and minimum five years’ relevant experience are required, with preference for upstream offshore facilities or major industrial developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum five years of process engineering experience in oil and gas, energy, or related industries.
• Experience in upstream oil & gas projects, offshore facilities, or major industrial developments.
• Hands-on with process deliverables: simulations, PFDs, P&IDs, sizing, datasheets.
• Familiarity with international oil & gas industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Execute process engineering activities per project requirements and standards.
• Develop and review process documents, simulations, PFDs, and P&IDs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, vendors, and contractors.
• Support procurement activities with technical requisitions and vendor reviews.
• Ensure safety, operability, reliability, and HSE compliance.
• Participate in process safety studies, design reviews, and risk assessments.
• Identify and resolve technical issues; manage deliverables.
• Support construction, commissioning, start-up, and operations readiness.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Perform other duties as required.

NES Fircroft is currently recruiting a Senior Process Engineer to support offshore Oil & Gas engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute process engineering activities in accordance with project requirements, company procedures and applicable industry standards.
• Develop, review and deliver process engineering documentation, including process simulations, PFDs, P&IDs, equipment sizing calculations, datasheets, design philosophies and technical specifications.
• Provide technical support and coordination with multidisciplinary engineering teams, clients, vendors and contractors.
• Support equipment and package procurement activities, including technical requisitions, bid evaluations and vendor document reviews.
• Ensure process designs meet project requirements for safety, operability, reliability, performance and HSE compliance.
• Participate in process safety studies, design reviews, risk assessments and technical assurance activities.
• Identify and resolve technical issues, manage assigned deliverables and support project execution in accordance with agreed schedules.
• Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, start-up and operational readiness activities.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support knowledge sharing within the engineering team.
• Perform other duties as required by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum five years of relevant process engineering experience within the oil and gas, energy, or related process industries.
• Experience in upstream oil and gas projects, offshore facilities, or major industrial developments is preferred.
• Previous involvement in greenfield and/or brownfield projects across engineering, procurement and execution phases.
• Good understanding of project lifecycles, engineering deliverables, procurement activities and multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Hands-on experience developing and reviewing process engineering deliverables, including Process simulations, Process flow diagrams (PFDs), Piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), Equipment sizing and hydraulic calculations, Equipment and instrument datasheets, and Design philosophies and technical specifications
• Experience coordinating with other engineering disciplines, equipment vendors and package suppliers
• Familiarity with international oil and gas industry standards and engineering best practices.
• Proficiency in process simulation and engineering software such as HYSYS, UniSim, PIPENET, Flarenet, or equivalent tools.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
