Job summary

Camarine is seeking an experienced Process Engineer to support a major offshore energy project based in China. You will perform process engineering design, deliver PFDs, P&IDs, calculations, and equipment datasheets, and work across disciplines to meet project requirements.

You will conduct simulations, sizing, and reviews, participate in HAZOP/HAZID and safety studies, liaise with clients and vendors, and provide technical support from design through commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Perform process engineering design and technical activities to project requirements.
• Develop and review PFDs, P&IDs, process calculations and equipment datasheets.
• Conduct process simulations, hydraulic calculations, heat and material balances, and equipment sizing.
• Review process equipment and package specifications.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Piping, I&C, Electrical and other engineering disciplines.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL and other safety studies.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, construction, commissioning and execution.
• Identify and resolve process-related technical issues and interface requirements.
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, project specifications and HSE requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform process engineering design and technical activities in accordance with project requirements and specifications.
• Develop and review process engineering deliverables, including process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, process calculations, equipment datasheets and technical documents.
• Conduct process simulations, hydraulic calculations, heat and material balances, and equipment sizing as required.
• Review and provide technical input on process equipment and package specifications.
• Coordinate closely with Mechanical, Piping, Instrumentation, Electrical and other engineering disciplines.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZID, HAZOP, SIL and other technical/safety studies.
• Review engineering drawings, vendor documents and technical submissions.
• Provide technical support during fabrication, construction, commissioning and project execution.
• Identify and resolve process-related technical issues and interface requirements.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with applicable codes, standards, project specifications and HSE requirements.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, vendors and other stakeholders as required.
• Support the preparation of technical reports, calculations, specifications and other project documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree inChemical Engineering, Process Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum8–10 years of relevant process engineering experiencein Oil & Gas, Offshore, FPSO/FSO, LNG or related energy projects.
• Strong experience in process design and engineering deliverables for major offshore or floating projects.
• Good knowledge of PFDs, P&IDs, process calculations, equipment sizing and process simulations.
• Experience withHAZOP/HAZID, process safety and technical design reviews.
• Familiarity with relevant international engineering codes and standards.
• Candidates with FPSO/FSO or other floating production project experience are highly preferred.
